Oh no! I hope this doesn’t mean that radio everywhere will be playing R.E.M. day and night like an old farmer kicking his dead horse as it lay next to a creek bed at sunset whilst wolves begin to circle… I would have been as content if they had broken up 15 years ago! They paved the way for whiny, bitchy, cry baby music for the malcontents of this past decade. I almost want to blame them for making people melancholy and inspiring other bands to follow suit the same way my mom blamed Ozzy and the Sex Pistols for making me wear leather and lash out at authority…I hate to say it, but mom was right… she is always right…
